The Committee for Hellenism of Macedonia, the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Cultural Associations of Macedonians, the Pan-Macedonian Union USA and the World Pan-Macedonian Union are organizing a rally to take place in SyntagmaSquare in Athens on Sunday, January 20th, at 2pm to express their complete opposition, along with the overwhelming majority of the Greeks, to the PrespesPreliminary Agreement.
Syntagma Square in Athens is expected to be inundated by thousands of citizens who will hold Greek flags and will demand the cancellation of the preliminary agreement which grants the Name, the Language and the Ethnicity to the inhabitants of the newly established Central Balkan country. However, historians, archaeologists and reputable legal experts in Greece and around the world have documented that the residents of the neighboring region are mostly Slavs, Albanians and Roma that appeared in this region ten centuries after the death of Alexander the Great.
Greek people are once again demonstrating that they are determined not to allow the forgery of history and the abandonment of the national rights of their homeland. They are well aware that the giveaway of the purely Greek name of Macedonia will result in the concession of vital national interests and cultural characteristics thus preparing the way for the boarders’ redrawing.
Against global powers that alter cultures and change borders without any interest to their inhabitants, we, Greeks will once again declare a massive NO and at the same time will assert that MACEDONIA IS GREECE.
